Picture this: blue skies, sun shining, zebra's grazing, rhino's close by and views for days. This was Andy & Emma's wedding day. The literal perfect day in the most beautifully South African setting: a game reserve. This couple said their vows on the deck at Acacia Lodge in Tala Game Reserve overlooking the dam. An intimate ceremony with only close friends and family really gave them the opportunity to connect with their guests and the love and support from everyone was palpable.

I had the privilege of doing an engagement shoot with them before the wedding which really was such a great opportunity for me to connect with them and get a feel for their vibes. It also set them up for success on their wedding day because they got a little practice with a camera up close and personal! 

What I loved most about working with Andy and Emma was how relaxed they were. They trusted me implicitly and it made shooting for them such a pleasure. Weddings can be stressful and really bring out the micromanager in some people but not these two! As cool as cucumbers and so so in love. I feel like I always get the best shots when I'm with people who allow my creative juices to flow. The sunset on their wedding day was absolute perfection - I literally have never caught a more perfect golden hour. It was dreamy! Couple that with the freedom to play and this wedding album is truly something I am so proud of. 

Capturing great images at a wedding really isn't just up to me. It takes a village to pull these days off and so I'd like to give a shout out to the vendors who were involved in bringing Andy & Emma's dream wedding to life (and giving me a fantastic backdrop).
